It was just an excellent experience at The Baby Place!

I came in to ER1 screaming in pain, and they took me straight to the exam area. They were really fast!

It was very busy that day but everything went like clockwork. I did not have to wait long to go back for my procedure. Nurses always had time to answer my questions – good sense of team work.

The technician who drew my blood was very friendly and efficient. It did not hurt at all!

The nurses took extra care with our two-year-old son - even taking extra steps not to wake him while he was sleeping.

As you know, a colonoscopy does not contribute to a “fun” day, but your staff made it a pleasant experience. I would recommend your facility to anyone - thank you.

My Dad worked for years in the surgery department of another hospital, and he came to your ER with cardiac issues. My concern was that we might need to transfer him to that hospital, but his care at Pekin was absolutely outstanding and I never had any desire to move Dad. I think when people do an outstanding job, it's important to make sure Administration knows that.

They did a quick strep swab - results were given in 15 to 20 minutes. Nurse was very quick with the swab and that made it very comfortable.

The supervisor was training another worker. They were both excellent and must have asked me if I was comfortable at least five times! It was a great experience.

My wife passed away a few days ago at our home. She had nothing but good things to say about her care. She was bedridden for nearly two years and always looked forward to the nurse visits. We appreciated everything they did. Thanks again.

I would highly recommend Pekin Hospital to anyone. It’s clean, professional, kind and outgoing!

Pekin Hospital Home Health wants you to know that you have the right to choose your home healthcare provider. Federal Law requires that patients be informed of their options for home care, and this is very important to us. The social services department at Pekin Hospital will provide you with a list of the many options available to you so that you can make an informed decision about who will be coming to your home. If you or a loved one will be going to an assisted living facility, you can still choose your home healthcare provider. Assisted living facilities do not have contracts with home care providers. It is important that you have control over who takes care of you or your loved one. Choosing the right agency can make a tremendous difference in your recovery.

What is the history of Pekin Hospital's Home Health?

Who is eligible for Home Health?

Home Health determines eligibility on a case-by-case basis. If your physician grants a referral, we will assess your condition and decide your service needs based on that evaluation. We provide service without regard to age, sex, race, creed, color, religion, marital status, national origin or physical disability.

What role will the patient's physician play in Home Health?

The patient's personal physician directs the plan of care, receives progress reports about the patient's condition and adjusts services in response to changes in condition.

What is the cost?

The cost of Home Health is determined by the types of services the patient needs. The expenses may be covered totally, or in part, by Medicare, Medicaid or private health insurance. Our staff can help you determine insurance coverage before our visits begin. We will also complete the necessary forms and will bill Medicare, Medicaid or the patient's private health insurance company directly.
